Fall Clean Ups and Holiday Programs!

– Save the Date for Turkey and Trimmings Baskets! Each year students, faculty, and staff fill baskets with Thanksgiving dinner items for local families. This year our goal is 120 baskets for local families. For more information please visit here. Also the it is that time of year for the Giving Tree!! It will go up in the Library lobby November 10th! -The Merrill Linn Conservancy and Union County Historical Society are having a fall cleanup at the Dale/Engle/Walker property at 1471 Strawbridge Rd on Nov 1 from 9am-noon.  Please sign up by October 30 by contacting Jeannette Lasanasky at lasansky@bucknell.edu.

– Wild Goose Farm need volunteers on Sunday, November 2nd from 12:00-5:00. for their Fun Days at the Farm.
Description: Fun Days at the Farm will include inter-generational outdoor games, an indoor craft project, and hiking the wooded trail. This volunteer position would involve helping with the set up and follow through at the two Fun Days at the Farm.
Skills required:  We are looking for volunteers who have excellent organizational skills, enjoy being with groups of people of different ages, and like to play fun inter-generational group games. To sign up to help, please email wildgoosefarmpa@gmail.com

– Friday, November 7 volunteers are needed to help set up for the Silent Art Auction at the Lewisburg Club, 131 Market Street. Setup begins at 4:45; auction is from 6 to 9; breakdown is from 9 to 10, Volunteers will need to help to move art, set it up, staff the auction (general help and encouragement to bidders), call successful bidders, and pack up any remaining pieces. Lewisburg Community Garden Volunteers hours are each Monday from 10:00-12 noon, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-7:00. Or if you would like to volunteer other days or times, that’s fine! The garden is located at the corner of Saint Anthony St. and North Water Street. It’s about a 20 minute walk from campus. Please wear closed toe shoes, clothes you can get dirty, and bring a water bottle. Interested in helping, please contact Kevin at kz006@bucknell.edu
