-Turkey and Trimmings Basket DUE DATE November 17th!!
Help us reach our goal of providing a basket for 120 local families. Baskets should include enough items that would feed a family of 4. Suggested items are stuffing, potatoes, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, and a gift card to a local store for a turkey. Weis cards are sold in our office! -The Giving Tree goes up on November 6th. Volunteers are needed to sit at the tree to help with tag sign out. Please sign up here. Stop by and select a snowflake tag and purchase a gift for a local resident.

-Volunteers with vehicles are needed to help deliver gifts from the Giving Tree to local agencies on Monday, December 7th and and Tuesday, December 8th during the day (9:00-4:00). If you are interested, please contact Lynn at email@example.com
– FALL WORK EFFORT at historic site and hiking trail: 9-noon, Saturday November 14, 2015. Come and celebrate the Fall on the morning of Saturday, November 14 at the historic Dale/Engle/Walker farmhouse and trail. The time to assemble is 9 AM on the site at 1471 Strawbridge Road, outside of Lewisburg. Done by noon with a hot beverage and snacks midway as we work on the yard, invasive plants, and trail edge cleaning if possible. Tools and gloves are provided. If you are emailing on behalf of a group of volunteers, please indicate the number joining you for this effort. Alternative date in case of extreme weather will be Saturday, November 21, same time.
-Girls On The Run has their Fall 5K on November 14th at Susquehanna University. Volunteers needs are as follows: Fri., Nov 13, 6-9pm to asset with setting up the pre-race expo in the field house. This involves the moving of large tables, arranging items on said tables, assembling a temporary store, and hanging banners. Sat., Nov 14, 7:30-10am to staff the the race course – volunteers are given safety vests, emergency cards, instructions, and placed at intersections along the course. -The Lewisburg Arts Council needs volunteers for its Silent Art Auction on Friday, November 6, in downtown Lewisburg. We need help with transporting art items, setup, monitoring, calling bidders, and cleanup. The auction runs from 6 to 9; setup begins at 4:45 and cleanup is over by 10 pm. If you would like to help out sometime during that time period – or for the entire event – please contact Sara Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact her before November 1 to volunteer.
